Increasing Bandwidth & Gaining Increased Efficiencies
When a leading imaging equipment manufacturer found that its network was not responsive enough to its end users, it turned to NTT.
Although the customer was unfamiliar with NTT's capability in North America, NTT's expertise in project management and high service quality, as demonstrated through its no outages track record, gave the customer great confidence in NTT. Additionally, throughout the proposal process, NTT's ability to flexibly respond to various requirements impressed the customer and resulted in the customer selecting NTT for its North American network project.
After a detailed assessment of the client's business needs, technologies, and goals, NTT recognized the need for employing increased bandwidth and, with the client, implemented the following three solutions:
- Wide Area Network: Implementing an IP-VPN MPLS network which improved communication between 60 locations in the United States and Canada
- Collocation Services: Implementing collocation services at NTT's New York City facility to provide data back-up
- Network Monitoring Tool: Providing critical sites in the United States and Canada with network and application performance analysis tools
Due to the changes implemented by NTT, the client:
- Increased the speed of its network by 2 to 4 times.
- Experienced a reduction in the cost of running the network by 20 to 30% per year
